Jack Rankin was elected as the Conservative MP for Windsor constituency at the 2024 General Election.
He campaigned for national funding for the Channel One flood relief scheme, to oppose Heathrow expansion and secure noise respite, as well as visible policing, a fairer say in London policies that impact Windsor, ensuring new infrastructure accompanies house-building and for a more local NHS.
Jack lives with his wife Sarah and two sons in Sunninghill. He graduated from the University of Warwick with a master’s degree in Mathematics and Physics, working for Centrica on the Maidenhead Road as a consultant to the energy industry. He cut his teeth politically as a councillor and cabinet member on the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead from 2015-19.
Jack's motivation to get into politics comes from values instilled by his parents while growing up in Ashton-under-Lyne.
"I come from an aspirational, working-class background, with self-made small businesspeople parents. They weren’t political, but worked night and day to secure the qualifications they needed and grow their business to ensure both I and my brother Gus could have the opportunities they hadn’t enjoyed," says Jack.
"From an early age I associated our family’s values of aspiration and quiet patriotism with the Conservative and Unionist Party.
I will be a fully active, involved and local Member of Parliament, visible and available right across the various towns and villages of this constituency.
