The Windsor Town Branch have arranged a supper at the Bexley Arms in Windsor on Friday 1st November 2018 at 7pm. The guest speaker will be Richard Benyon, MP for Newbury since 2005 and former Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
Richard studied at the Royal Agricultural College and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before serving in the British Army, being posted to Northern Ireland and the Far East with the Royal Green Jackets.
Richard was the Opposition Whip from 2007-2009, then Shadow Minister in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2009-2010, before becoming Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2010-2013.
He has sat on various Select Committees: Home Affairs Committee from 2005-2007, Environmental Audit Committee from 2010-2013, Committees on Arms Export Control 2014-2015, Defence Committee 2015-2016, Defence Sub-Committee 20115-2016, and the Intelligence & Security Committee of Parliament 2016-Present.
